Consulting & Risk Assessment

Know what you're missing before someone else does.

For clients who already have security in place and want it audited, or are deciding whether they need any at all. ASP performs on-site evaluations, writes the report, and gives you a plan you can execute with us or without us.

Most security failures aren't dramatic. They're predictable. A blind spot in a parking lot, a propped-open service door, an officer with the wrong post orders, an insurance policy that won't pay because the documentation isn't there. ASP consulting finds those failures before they become incidents.

Engagement types

Four ways to engage. All produce documents.

Consulting isn't a sales call. It's a deliverable. Every ASP engagement, regardless of scope, produces a written record you keep, share with stakeholders, or use to brief a different security provider entirely.

— 01 Most common

Single-Site Audit

A complete on-site evaluation of one property. Access points, sightlines, lighting, existing security posture, and the gaps a daily walk doesn't reveal. Delivered as a written report with prioritized recommendations.

  • On-site walk-through
  • Vulnerability report
  • Prioritized fix list
— 02 Multi-property

Portfolio Assessment

For property managers, owners, or operators with multiple sites. ASP evaluates each property individually and produces a comparative report showing where risk is concentrated and where investment will return the most coverage.

  • Per-site evaluation
  • Comparative risk ranking
  • Portfolio-level recommendations
— 03 Time-bound

Pre-Event Planning

For concerts, conferences, private events, and one-time activations. ASP plans the security posture, post placement, crowd management, and emergency response before the event, so the day-of execution doesn't depend on improvisation.

  • Site & crowd planning
  • Post order development
  • Emergency contingency plan
— 04 Ongoing

Advisory Retainer

For clients who want a security professional on call without a full-time hire. Monthly review of incidents, quarterly site re-evaluation, and on-demand consultation when a decision needs an outside read. No officer deployment required.

  • Monthly incident review
  • Quarterly re-evaluation
  • On-call advisory
What you actually get

Documents. Not just opinions.

Most security consulting ends with a verbal walk-through and a quote for ongoing guard service. ASP engagements end with written deliverables you own and can act on independently. Here's what every consulting engagement produces.

Written Vulnerability Report

A formal document covering every assessed area: access control, perimeter, lighting, surveillance, post orders, response protocols, and insurance posture. Sized for the engagement, with severity ratings and clear recommendations.

Prioritized Action List

Recommendations ranked by risk reduction per dollar spent. No vague suggestions. Each item specifies what to change, why it matters, and what changes if you don't act.

Executive Summary

A 2 to 4 page summary written for the people who sign the check but won't read the full report. Plain language, no jargon, structured for a board meeting or insurance review.

Vendor-Neutral Posture

Recommendations stand on their own. If we say you need a different camera system or a different security provider, we say it. ASP doesn't take referral fees, and the report tells you what to do even if you don't hire us to do it.

Who consulting is for

Sometimes consulting is the right call. Sometimes it isn't.

Most security companies will sell you a consultation regardless of whether you need one. Here's how to tell.

Consulting fits when:
  • You inherited a property and don't know what its security posture actually is.
  • Your insurance carrier is asking for documentation you don't have.
  • Something happened on-site and you need to understand why before it happens again.
  • You're deciding whether to hire guard service and want a second opinion before you commit.
  • You manage multiple properties and need to know which one is the highest risk.
Skip consulting when:
  • You already know exactly what you need and just want a quote for guard hours.
  • You're shopping consulting firms to validate a decision you've already made.
  • You want a quick verbal recommendation, not a written deliverable.
